The Rockaway Rocket returns! Tickets now available for sale in the NYC Ferry App.
The Rockaway Rocket is returning on Saturday, July 11th and will run for a limited time between Long Island City, Greenpoint, and Rockaway. Beat the lines and the heat with a guaranteed spot on a ferry going directly from Long Island City and Greenpoint to Rockaway for $12. Tickets for the first weekend are on sale now in the NYC Ferry App.
The Rockaway Rocket will operate on weekends and holidays through September 1st, with two morning departures from Long Island City and Greenpoint to Rockaway and two evening return trips back from Rockaway. Please arrive to the landing at least 10 minutes prior to the time printed on your ticket or you will not be able to board the ferry.
⛴️ How to Ride the Rockaway Rocket
To board the Rockaway Rocket you must have a valid pre-purchased departure ticket.
NYC Ferry riders can purchase their Rockaway Rocket ticket(s) via the NYC Ferry app. Rockaway Rocket tickets will be available for purchase starting 2 weeks before the scheduled departure date. Rockaway Rocket tickets can be purchased up via the NYC Ferry App until 15 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, pending availability.

Capacity on the Rockaway Weekend Shuttle Buses is significantly limited. Please take the Q22 MTA bus, which runs every 10 minutes on weekends during the day and can be picked up just two blocks south of the landing at Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 108th Street.
