Service Alert – 7/1

Service Advisory – All Routes – Independence Day – July 4th and 5th

Dear NYC Ferry Rider,

In observance of Independence Day, NYC Ferry will operate a weekend schedule on both Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th. Ferries will bypass DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 1 and Atlantic Avenue/Pier 6 all day on July 4th due to the Macy’s Fireworks Show, and service across all routes will end early.

Thursday, July 4, 2019

All NYC Ferry routes will operate on a weekend schedule, with service ending early as a result of the Macy’s Fireworks show in Lower New York Harbor. Below are the last departures for the day:

East River Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for East 34th Street – 3:56 PM

Last East 34th Street departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 3:22 PM

Due to the Macy’s Firework staging operation, the East River route will bypass DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 1 ferry landing all day.

There will be no Midtown Shuttle Bus service provided on this day. Shuttle buses will resume normal service on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Rockaway Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for Rockaway – 3:40 PM

Last Rockaway departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 2:58 PM

Both Rockaway East and West Shuttle Buses will operate on a weekend schedule with service ending at 3:40 PM.

The Downtown Far Rockaway Shuttle Bus will not operate. Service to Downtown Far Rockaway will resume on Monday, July 8, 2019.

South Brooklyn Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for Bay Ridge – 3:02 PM

Last Bay Ridge departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 3:19 PM

Due to the Macy’s Firework staging operation, the South Brooklyn route will bypass DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 1 and Pier 6/Atlantic Avenue ferry landing all day.

Astoria Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for Astoria – 3:15 PM

Last Astoria departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 3:15 PM

There will be no Midtown Shuttle Bus service provided on this day. Shuttle buses will resume normal service on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Lower East Side Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for Astoria – 3:07 PM

Last Astoria departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 3:10 PM

There will be no Midtown Shuttle Bus service provided on this day. Shuttle buses will resume normal service on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Soundview Route:

Last Wall Street/Pier 11 departure bound for Astoria – 3:31 PM

Last Astoria departure bound for Wall Street/Pier 11 – 3:12 PM

There will be no Midtown Shuttle Bus service provided on this day. Shuttle buses will resume normal service on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Governors Island:

There will be no service to Governors Island all day.

Friday, July 5, 2019

All routes will operate a weekend schedule and there will be no service to Governors Island.

All shuttle buses will operate on a weekend schedule.
