Marine construction at E34 has been completed, and NYC Ferry will begin operating an updated winter schedule starting Saturday, February 21st. This schedule restores existing service frequency on all routes and adjusts departure times on certain routes based on rider feedback.

Here’s everything you need to know about this schedule change:

• East River A and East River B will resume operations during weekday peaks, and an additional departure from Hunters Point South has been scheduled before 7:00 AM. Please review schedules to plan your trip.
• Frequency restored on Rockaway-Soundview weekday schedule. Please review schedules to plan your trip.
• Frequency restored on Astoria weekday schedule. Please review schedules to plan your trip.
• Morning departure times on the South Brooklyn route have changed in response to rider feedback. Please review schedules to plan your trip.
• Morning departure times on the St. George route have changed in response to rider feedback. Please review schedules to plan your trip.

Why are you implementing a new schedule after the temporary construction schedule?

When we implemented the optimized routes and schedules on December 8, 2025, we committed to continuing to evaluate how those changes impact riders and make updates as necessary. We received feedback about elements of the existing schedule that the Updated Winter Schedule will address by restoring lost departures for workers, providing better school arrival times for students, and reducing vessel congestion at some landings. This schedule will be implemented on February 21st.
