Service Alert – Anticipated Service Suspensions on AST, SV, ER & LES routes – Tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/25

Per security requirements set by the U.S. Coast Guard due to activities involving the United Nations General Assembly, we anticipate service suspensions on the Soundview and Astoria routes, as well as East River and Lower East Side routes with service suspended to/from the Long Island City ferry stop tomorrow, Tuesday, September 25th from 7:45 AM until 3 PM, and again from 5 PM – 7 PM.

We ask riders to please plan accordingly and keep in mind that these times can change suddenly and without notice.

Service Alert – United Nations General Assembly- 9/24/18 – 10/5/18

Due to the United Nations General Assembly, extra security precautions on the East River may pose delays and/or cancellations on the Astoria, Soundview, East River, and the Lower East Side NYC Ferry routes from Monday, September 24 through Friday, October 5.

Regular updates will be shared on ferry.nyc, as well as the NYC Ferry app.

Service Alert – Hunters Point South Landing Update 

As you know, the Hunter’s Point South landing has been closed for maintenance. Following the initial repair work and subsequent inspections by marine surveyors, the landing barge has been removed for off-site restoration. We are working with engineers to determine a definitive timeline as to when the landing will reopen.

In the interim, all ferry service on the East River route will continue to bypass Hunters Point South in both directions and service will be re-routed to the Long Island City ferry landing at Gantry State Plaza Park.

Until the landing is back in service, there will be a free shuttle bus starting on September 7 at 6:30 a.m., operating between the Long Island City landing (picking up at 46^th Ave. and Center Blvd) and the Hunters Point South landing (dropping off at 54^th Ave. on 2^nd St.), operating approximately every 20 minutes.
