Spooky season is finally upon us, and there are lots of spine-tingling adventures awaiting you just a short ferry ride away! We’ve compiled a list below of activities to guide you through the creepiest month of the year.

Haunted Beer Garden at Loreley
?25 minute walk from Corlears Hook

Starting October 14th, Loreley’s outdoor beer garden (one of the largest on the Lower East Side) gets a seasonal makeover featuring spooky decorations and assorted Halloween themed drinks. There is no admission to enter the garden and they offer specials every day of the week. Sail over to Corlears Hook and stop in for a fall themed brew from their hand-carved pumpkin keg.

Madame Morbid’s Trolley Tours
?13 minute walk from North Williamsburg

This woman-owned business offers an experience that is not for the faint of heart. Hop on board Madame Morbid’s Trolly Tour to explore Brooklyn’s spookiest sites. The 90-minute tour led by Madame Morbid includes scary tales of ghosts, vampires, and more. Do you dare to take the ride?

See a scary movie at Skyline Drive-in
?20 minute walk from North Williamsburg

What’s your favorite scary movie? Skyline Drive-in has tons of spine-tingling titles coming up like The Ring, Scream, Hocus Pocus, and more throughout the month of October. Bring your sweaters and blankets to enjoy the cool autumn air with a skyline view. No worries if you don’t have a car, as they also offer a comfortable seating area to enjoy the show!

Watch the leaves change from The High Line
?10 minute walk from Midtown West

Witness the changing colors of Autumn as you stroll through one of Manhattan’s most peaceful trails. Built on a historic, elevated rail line, the High Line was always intended to be more than a park. Blood Manor
?20 minute walk from Battery Park City

Blood Manor is one of the most extreme haunted attractions in NYC with themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways that’ll play on your biggest fears. Zombies, monsters and other ghoulish creatures wander throughout the space ready to make you scream. Blood Manor is open now through November 6, so be sure to grab your tickets while there is still time.

Fraunces Tavern
?7 minute walk from Pier 11/Wall St

Fraunces Tavern is New York’s oldest and most historic bar and restaurant, serving as a watering hole for many of America’s founding fathers. With a history like this, a building is likely to hold many stories and possibly even a few spirits.

On October 30th, the tavern will hold a haunted history tour where you can hear stories about a tragic event that took place in the building, George Washington’s last days at Mount Vernon, and the paranormal investigator findings within the Museum itself!
