Start the New Year by becoming a steward in your local community at Mulchfest!

Take NYC Ferry’s South Brooklyn route volunteer with the Stewardship Team at the Owls Head Park in Bay Ridge! The is looking for volunteers to help by spreading mulch that is generated during Mulchfest around young trees to insulate them from the cold winter weather.

Volunteers will spread mulch around young street trees.

Volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and closed-toed shoes. They are also encouraged to bring their water bottles.

 Space is limited and registration is required.
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone!
