Service Alert – Hunters Point South Landing Update
As you know, the Hunter’s Point South landing has been closed for maintenance. Following the initial repair work and subsequent inspections by marine surveyors, the landing barge has been removed for off-site restoration. We are working with engineers to determine a definitive timeline as to when the landing will reopen.
In the interim, all ferry service on the East River route will continue to bypass Hunters Point South in both directions and service will be re-routed to the Long Island City ferry landing at Gantry State Plaza Park.
Until the landing is back in service, there will be a free shuttle bus starting on September 7 at 6:30 a.m., operating between the Hunters Point South landing (picking up at 46th Ave. and Center Blvd) and the Long Island City landing (dropping off at 54th Ave. on 2nd St.), operating approximately every 20 minutes.
